Centuries later we still read his words because they show raw pain met with stubborn trust. Job did not get every answer he wanted, but he received restoration and a deeper knowledge of God.
Modern believers still turn to these same verses during cancer treatments or after loss. One man I knew quoted Psalm 46:1 every morning while recovering from surgery. He said the words kept his mind steady when pain meds made his thoughts foggy. The Bible does not promise no pain. It promises God is present in it.
The Greatest Strength and Healing Come Through Jesus
All these verses point to the One who is strength itself. Jesus took our weakness on the cross so we could receive His strength. He bore our sicknesses so we could know healing that lasts forever. Romans 8:11 promises that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. That power is at work even when we feel nothing. It is the reason we can face tomorrow with hope instead of dread. Salvation is not earned by reading verses. It is received by faith in the finished work of Christ.
